SALEWA and Wild Country: the perfect partnership with rock-solid expertise.

Wild Country is now part of the SALEWA Group. The move sees the mountain sports specialist from South Tyrol and the UK’s leading rock climbing equipment manufacturer put the seal on a synergy of rock climbing expertise. The SALEWA name has been synonymous with alpine expertise for over 75 years. Acquiring Wild Country enables the mountain sports brand to add the UK company’s in-depth specialist climbing knowledge to its own many years of mountain sport experience.

SALEWA World: Where shopping is an experience

The SALEWA sales point inside the general headquarter of the company has been set up with the aim of bringing together and showing off the company’s mission and brands. It provides an alternative and innovative shopping experience for enthusiasts, allowing them to live and breathe all that SALEWA has to offer. A lounge area with an information stand, plus an iPad, books and magazines are available. These highlights, and many more, await consumers in the SALEWA World and accompany them in a holistic adventure of clothing and mountain equipment.

SALEWA Headquarter: A link between technology and nature..

…a multi-style profile, conceived in a unitary way, unified by immense windows and an innovative electro-coloured aluminium skin that creates a result, which depicts an Alpine chain, strongly evoking the environmental mission of SALEWA. The building, which is to be the new general headquarter of the OberAlp/SALEWA group, blends in naturally with mountainous landscape surrounding it. It has a dazzling radiance that makes the most of the light and the climatic conditions, and will be a new point of geographic reference for the town of Bolzano, respecting both industry and the environment at the same time.

The new SALEWA headquarter: Where the brand is born and nurtured

The innovative headquarter of OberAlp / SALEWA will not host the main company activities but, according to Massimo Baratto, managing director of the Group based in Bolzano, will also be a place where the company’s brands, SALEWA and DYNAFIT, as well as other brands distributed in Italy by the Group (e.g. Speedo and Rip Curl) will be nurtured and developed.

The OberAlp/SALEWA group has set up camp for its new futuristic headquarter, to become the hub of the company’s activities in a place where technology meets with nature.
This immense project was much desired by Heiner Oberrauch, founder and president of the OberAlp/SALEWA group, and has earned itself the award of the CasaClima "Work&Life" certificate.
