We have asked our athlet Aaron Durogati which are his favorite products for Speed Hiking and how he trains for the Red Bull X-Alps 2017.


On July the 2nd, the “hardest Adventure Race” of the world starts in Salzburg (AT). Goal of the race is to cover the distance of 1.000 km between Salzburg and Monaco by paraglide or by feet as fast as possible. In order to participate at this event, the athletes must be physically and mentally strong. Thus, training plays an important role. With Speed Hiking, fast-pace hiking, Aaron can improve his condition and train the landing and departure with the paraglide.

PEDROC PTC ALPHA M SWEATSHIRT 


The Pedroc Alpha Sweater  is ideal for my trainings in spring. Due to insulating fabric Polartec® Alpha® it is neither too warm nor too cold. Especially at the sides it is comfortable warm and breathable due to the Polartec® Power Dry®. In case it gets colder, I always carry the Pedroc Alpha Vest vest in my backpack, that doesn’t need much storing space.


PEDROC BERMUDA SHORTS


While Speed Hiking I usually wear shorts. The elastic waistband of the Pedroc Bermuda Shorts and the fast-drying material make the shorts ideal for warmer temperatures.

HOW DOES AARON DUROGATI TRAIN?



How do you train?


Since the beginning of December I nearly go on a ski tour every day. If I am at a competition, like I was in Brazil for the World Championships, I either ran a longer route or made some sprints. Then I train my balance with the slack line. When it is spring and when I am at home I start my training with a run, having my paraglide on the back. Usually the altitudes of meters vary between 1.000 and 1.500. If the weather is good, I try to fly as much as I can in order to have the best training. In addition to this training I also do weight training every second day.


Where do you train and with whom?


Usually I train alone. But when I go ski touring I am with by colleague Phillip Götsch. Furthermore I have the luck to live in the middles of the mountains, so that I can train in the closest vicinity.


What is your secret to get fit quickly?
