Let’s get wild

Let’s get wild with Roger Schaeli & Simon Gietl
Simon Gietl and Roger Schaeli members of our alpineXtrem Team managed the first  ascent on Aguja Guillaumet/ east face in Patagonia – onsight, alpine style, without bolts. They called this new route
“Let’s get wild” it is 600m long, level of difficulty 7a, 90° steep and partially frosty parts.

After two weeks of painful  training in the crack-climbing paradise Indian Creek (Utah), in order to be good prepared for Patagonia, Roger and Simon travelled to Argentina. After the first fair weather phase they went towards the Aguja Guillaumet, with the goal to climb the east face in alpine style onsight.

After spectacular rock- and iceclimbs and on the limit of their capacity they reached the top. Over happy about this new first ascent they have in mind already new ideas… from the top ot the peak they saw the Fitz Roy…
We are already now curious about the future projects of Simon and Roger.
We wish them a safe flight back home.
