Whether it be a former director or one of the best-known climbers in Europe: our legendary heroes have made SALEWA into what it is today. They are distinguished by their pioneering spirit and their passion.Their strong wills didn't move mountains, but in their own way mastered them.
They probed the limits of their own skills and equipment and constantly sought out new challenges. Instead of giving up they overcame their limitations – with an eye always on the end goal.
Yet, with all their successes through the years, they stayed true to the fundamentals. And also paid particular attention to encouraging the next generation of mountaineers.
Their experiences were a crucial input in the development of new products and their values continue today to be an important part of the SALEWA philosophy.
