Florian carried out the first repeat of what was then considered the most difficult frozen waterfall in the world. He has completed more than 130 classic and modern Alpine routes, he is the 2008 Italian champion in ice climbing, and he regularly conquers sport climbing routes of up to 8c+. He is also a wine maker, a world traveller and all in all a free spirit. However in addition to his spectacular first ascents of for example "Zurück in die Zukunft" (Back to the Future) (8a+), and adventures in the Dolomites such as the first redpoint repeat ascent of "Via della Cattedrale" (8a+, Marmolada south wall), this all-round mountaineer has also been training the next generation of South Tyrolean climbers.
